Dr. Hirschmann joined Warwick Animal Hospital in March 2011. Born and raised in Washington, DC, she now lives on Providence's east side. After earning an undergraduate degree from Williams College, Dr. Hirschmann spent two years studying cat genomics at the National Cancer Institute. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with an Master of Science degree in 2005 and a veterinary degree in 2006.
Dr. Hirschmann has worked as an emergency veterinarian, and completed an oncology internship at the Regional Veterinary Referral Center in Springfield, Virginia. She has a special interest in oncology, cytology, and internal medicine.
Outside of work, Dr. Hirschmann enjoys travel, hiking, baking, and everything knitting-related. She is also a long-suffering fan of the Washington Capitals ice hockey team!
